Limited Edition

Limited edition releases are items that are usually released for a relatively short period of time and contain material not available on the standard release. In the past, singles were frequently released as a two CD set with one being a limited edition release. More recently, it has become common to have a regular and limited edition version of an album. Limited edition print and displays also are produced.
Scarlet's Walk Charms

• Asterisk = Charms which require confirmation that they were used in the boxed sets

An interesting article was written from the Green Bay Press Gazette about Debbie Ellison, the woman who gathered the charms from various manufacturers across the United States for the Limited Edition Scarlet's Walk packaging. At one point Debbie had a website where the charms could be purchased, wisconsinplaza.com, but the site has shut down in recent years.

184,000 charms in all were confirmed to be ordered by Epic to be distributed in the limited edition packaging for Scarlet's Walk. There have been conflicting reports of how many distinct charms were actually picked by Tori to be used in the limited edition of the Scarlet's Walk album, but from the sources collected, the range lies somewhere between 80-100. The ones pictured represent the most complete list our admins could compile. The ones without asterisks were all reported by people who had pulled these molds from their imited editions of SW. The ones with an asterisk next to the caption still require confirmation to have actually been used in the box sets. If you have obtained a charm from the limited edition Scarlet's Walk album not pictured here, you may email us at toriamosdiscography@live.com.

Note that the pictured charms with the brighter finish are the correct molds, but the patina (or finish) is brighter than the ones that were used in the sets. See more below.

There are also plastic/rubber lizards, frogs and snakes that some received in their limited edition Scarlet's Walk. This page is dedicated to document the pewter charms, but in the future another page will be created to document the rubber ones.

More Information

Many of the molds used for the charms are still in circulation, and can still be found through charm & bead stores online -- although the darker, antique style patina used on most of the charms found in the box sets has gone out of style for many of them, and has been replaced by a sterling silver finish. The charms come up on Ebay from time to time in lots for exorbitant prices, but most of them you can find yourself on the cheap. The ones out of circulation, however, are worth hunting for.

If you can only find charms with a sterling silver finish and want to emulate the darker patina of the originals, you can use these simple tips to antique silver quickly, which speaking from personal experience have surprisingly good results. Also note that on rare occasions, a legitimate gold charm also can pop up in one of the sets.

The following is a webstore where I personally purchased most of the charms you see on this site:
