Flat

A Flat is a usually double-sided 12" by 12" promotional poster sent to retail stores. In the past they were usually made for every album, but now that is not always necessarily the case. They're usually made out of slightly stiff poster board or thin poster paper. Occasionally, the size is different from the standard 12" by 12" and have a detachable component.
This double-sided promotional flat from the album Scarlet's Walk consists of 2 standard sized (12"x12") flats joined together. The sections are perforated so that the two flats can be separated. The bottom half is perforated into 9 small Polaroid-style pictures from the album, each one labeled with one of the 18 songs from the album.
